The following was again before the House in third reading: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 183(FIN) "An Act relating to the Village Safe Water Act; and providing for an effective date." Representative Seaton moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 183(FIN) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. 2011-04-15 House Journal Page 1024 Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Seaton, Dick, Chenault, Austerman, Gatto, and Johnson: Page 1, line 12: Delete "a" Page 1, line 13, following "(i)": Insert "a" Page 1, line 14: Delete "or" Page 1, line 15, following "(ii)": Insert "a" Page 2, line 2, following "Indians": Insert "; or (iii) an incorporated nonprofit entity or Native village council that the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, with advice from the Department of Law, has determined is eligible to receive and spend a community revenue sharing payment under AS 29.60.865, if the incorporated nonprofit entity or Native village council agrees to act as a village governing body for the purposes of this chapter." Representative Seaton moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There was objection. Amendment to Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Seaton: Under Page 2, line 2, following "chapter": Insert "and provides for the ongoing maintenance of a project funded under this chapter" 2011-04-15 House Journal Page 1025 Representative Seaton moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment to Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment to Amendment No. 1 was adopted. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 as amended was adopted. CSHB 183(FIN) am was automatically in third reading. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CSHB 183(FIN) am pass the House?" Representative Austerman moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the effective date clause. There being no objection, it was so ordered. CSHB 183(FIN) am was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
